ZiCFi (500mg) – Ceftriaxone for Injection

Biotic Healthcare offers ZiCFi injection which contains the following active ingredient: Ceftriaxone.

Ceftriaxone is also known as a cephalosporin (SEF a low sporin) antibiotic which is mainly used to treat several bacterial infections which include acute or life-threatening forms such as meningitis. Plus, this antibiotic can also be utilized before dental procedures in patients with certain heart conditions (like artificial heart valves) to treat a severe infection like bacterial endocarditis.

If you are allergic to any antibiotics, especially ceftriaxone or to similar drugs like Ceftin, Keflex, Omnicef, and Cefzil, then make sure never take a ZiCFi injection without consulting your medical practitioner due to its serious side effects like mild diarrhea, vaginal discharge or itching, abnormal liver function tests, skin rashes, warmth, tight feeling or a hard lump where the injection was given.

Precaution and Storage Condition:

While you are using ceftriaxone antibiotic, make sure drink plenty of fluids unless your doctor directs you otherwise. This antibiotic is not recommended for newborns and premature infants because of higher side effects risk. So use it only for a condition that are listed above or if it has been prescribed by your pharmacist.

ZiCFi should be kept away from heat, moisture, and light. So try to store it at room temperature.
